Pakistan Railways Ordered to Compensate Train Accident Victim's Family with Rs. 10 Million

A local court in Karachi has ordered Pakistan Railways to pay more than Rs. 10 million in damages, as reported by a private news channel. The order was issued in response to a case filed by the heirs of Javed Iqbal, who tragically lost his life in a train accident. The compensation was granted under the Fatal Accidents Act 1855. The heirs sought restitution for their loss following the train collision near Dharki, which claimed the lives of over 50 individuals.

In separate news, Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of multiple special trains ahead of Eidul Fitr. The first Eid special train is scheduled to depart from Karachi to Peshawar on April 7th at 6 am. Following suit, the second Eid special train will embark from Quetta to Rawalpindi at 10 am on the same day.

Subsequently, the third special train will leave Karachi Cantt for Lahore at 9 pm on April 8th. Lastly, the fourth Eid special train is slated to depart from Lahore to Karachi at 5 pm on April 9th.
