Pakistan Showcases Textile Strength at Shanghai Yarn Expo as leading firms from the country participated in Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo Autumn 2025. The three-day event ran from September 2 to 4 and featured a special pavilion set up by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
According to reports, ten Pakistani exhibitors took part in the exhibitions. Seven showcased their products at Intertextile, while three displayed their innovations at the Yarn Expo. This ensured that Pakistan Showcases Textile Strength at Shanghai Yarn Expo with a strong presence in both segments
Pakistanβs textile exports rose 32% year-on-year in July 2025, reaching USD 1.7 billion. For the fiscal year 2024β25, total textile exports climbed to USD 17.9 billion, a growth of 7.4% compared to the previous year
Diamond Fabrics Limited noted strong international interest at the fair. βIntertextile Shanghai is definitely the right platform,β said Deputy Marketing Manager Muhammad Abdullah Tanvir. Mahmood Textile Mills, a regular exhibitor for a decade, also highlighted the importance of consistent participation.
The event drew thousands of global participants. Around 3,700 exhibitors from 26 regions joined Intertextile, while about 580 exhibitors from 16 regions attended the Yarn Expo. Product zones, group displays, and country pavilions helped connect international buyers and sellers
Pakistanβs Consul General in Shanghai, Shehzad Ahmad Khan, said the platform provides an opportunity for local firms to access advanced technology and expand into new ventures in textiles and apparel
