Three Back-to-Back Holidays for Pakistanis in September – Mark Your Calendars Now!

Pakistanis are expected to get three back-to-back holidays in early September 2025. The long weekend will provide citizens with an excellent chance to celebrate, travel, or spend time with family.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal is likely to be sighted on August 24, 2025. Based on this prediction, the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal will fall on Friday, September 5. The day will be observed nationwide as Eid Milad-un-Nabi, a public holiday marked with religious gatherings, prayers, and processions.

The following day, Saturday, September 6, will be commemorated as Defence Day of Pakistan. This day holds deep national significance, as the country remembers and honors the sacrifices of its martyrs and heroes. Ceremonies and events are planned across various cities to pay tribute to their bravery and patriotism.

With Sunday, September 7, being a regular weekend, citizens will benefit from a rare three-day break. This extended time off is expected to encourage domestic tourism, family outings, and social activities.

Many people are likely to use the holidays for short trips to northern areas, while others may prefer to relax at home or attend community events.

The year 2025 has already brought multiple opportunities for long weekends. These additional holidays in September will further add to the festive spirit, giving people more chances to reconnect with loved ones and take a refreshing pause from busy routines.
