Pakistani Authorities Bust Global Cybercrime Gang, 14 Arrested

In a major crackdown, Pakistan’s sensitive intelligence agencies and the National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCI) Multan have arrested 14 members of a 21-member gang allegedly running an international cybercrime ring. The group is accused of defrauding millions of dollars from American and other foreign citizens through sophisticated online scams.

The gang was reportedly led by Rameez Shahzad, known online as “Heartsender,” who masterminded the operations. The syndicate operated multiple digital fraud setups with key hubs based in Bahria Town, Lahore, and Sabzazar Colony, Multan.

According to exclusive information obtained by Samaa TV, the operation was spearheaded by Additional Director Abdul Ghaffar of NCCI Multan. The coordinated raids led to the arrest of six suspects in Lahore and eight in Multan.

Investigators say the gang exploited various digital platforms to deceive victims globally, posing serious challenges to cybersecurity enforcement. Authorities are now working to apprehend the remaining members and dismantle the group’s online infrastructure.

The bust highlights the growing threat of cross-border cybercrimes originating from South Asia and reinforces the need for stronger digital oversight and international cooperation.
