Pakistan's Military Response a Lesson India Won’t Forget, Says DG ISPR

In a candid interview with Al Jazeera, Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry declared that Pakistan’s strategic military response to recent Indian aggression will be remembered for years and studied in future military doctrines. He confirmed that Pakistan successfully hit 26 pre-selected targets, emphasizing the army’s transparency and contrast to India’s “fictional narratives.”

Rejecting Indian claims linking Pakistan to the Golden Temple attack, General Chaudhry labeled the allegations as absurd and contrary to Pakistan’s principles. He stressed that targeting religious sites is against the country’s values and belief system.

Highlighting Pakistan’s resilience, he noted that despite not having an $80 billion defence budget like India, Pakistan responded effectively with indigenous capabilities including JF-17 aircraft and locally developed missiles. He cautioned against any military conflict between nuclear powers, calling India’s provocations a dangerous gamble.

General Chaudhry concluded that peace in South Asia hinges on the just resolution of the Kashmir dispute, adding that Pakistan’s military still holds undisclosed capabilities, which were not deployed during the latest confrontation.
