PDMAs Issue Alerts For Heavy Rains Nationwide

Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMAs) in Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have issued alerts anticipating heavy rains beginning today (July 10).

In a statement, the Punjab Disaster Management Authority spokesperson advised city administrations to stay vigilant and prepare for potential urban flooding.

The National Emergencies Operation Center of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) predicts scattered rainfall, windstorms, and thunderstorms across various regions of Sindh, including Kashmore, Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Umerkot, Badin, Mithi, Tharparkar, and nearby areas within the next 12 to 24 hours.

Similarly, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Disaster Management Authority warned of possible damages due to heavy rains and thunderstorms starting tomorrow. This weather spell is expected to persist until Monday.
