Petrol prices in Pakistan have increased again, adding more pressure on consumers already dealing with rising living costs. The latest revision came into effect on July 24, 2026, following a notification issued by the Petroleum Division after recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
Under the new rates, Petrol now costs Rs331.52 per litre, up by Rs4.40 from the previous price of Rs327.12 per litre. The increase means motorists will have to pay more every time they refill their vehicles, making daily commuting and long-distance travel more expensive.
High-speed diesel has also become costlier. The government raised the diesel price by Rs3.62 per litre, increasing it from Rs375.04 to Rs378.66 per litre. The revised fuel prices officially came into force on July 24, 2026, after the notification was issued in Islamabad on July 23.
The latest Petrol price hike comes at a time when global oil markets continue to face uncertainty. International crude oil prices remain under pressure, which has contributed to higher fuel costs in many countries, including Pakistan.
The increase is expected to affect more than just private vehicle owners. Fuel prices directly influence transportation costs, which often lead to higher fares for public transport and increased delivery charges.
