Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a significant recruitment campaign aimed at hiring new pilots for its fleet. The airline is looking to induct 24 cadet pilots through its Cadet Pilots Program.
This initiative is designed to provide opportunities for aspiring pilots to begin their careers with the national carrier.
The selected cadet pilots will be hired on a two-year contractual basis. They will have the chance to gain valuable flying experience with PIA, which remains one of Pakistan’s most prominent airlines.
To be eligible for the program, candidates must have completed at least 200 flying hours and must hold a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
PIA has also set a financial bond requirement for candidates. Each selected cadet pilot will need to submit a bond of $15,000 as part of the program agreement. This bond ensures the commitment of the candidates during their training and initial flying years with PIA.
In addition to the Cadet Pilots Program, PIA is launching a separate initiative to recruit 20 experienced commercial pilots. This is part of the airline’s strategy to address the current shortage of cockpit crew and to improve operational efficiency.
The airline hopes that the recruitment of experienced pilots will help restore its international flight routes and enhance its overall service.
Candidates who meet the specified criteria for both the cadet and experienced pilots programs are encouraged to submit their applications to the PIA HR department within the next 15 days.
This recruitment drive marks a crucial step in PIA’s efforts to strengthen its workforce and improve its fleet operations.
