PIA Resumes Dubai-Skardu Flights, Expands Global Network

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed direct flights from Dubai to Skardu, with the first flight taking off on Friday, May 30, 2025. To celebrate the occasion, a cake-cutting ceremony was held at the airline’s Dubai office, attended by Consul General H.E. Hussain Muhammad and foreign tourists flying to Pakistan’s scenic north.

Hosted by Regional Manager Sarmad Aizaz and his team, the event marked a key step in promoting tourism and strengthening ties between Pakistan and the UAE. The move is expected to encourage more international visitors to explore Skardu’s breathtaking landscapes.

In a separate development, PIA also announced a new direct flight route from Lahore to Paris, set to begin on June 18. The national carrier already operates two weekly flights from Islamabad to the French capital.

According to PIA management, the new routes aim to enhance travel convenience, promote tourism, and contribute to Pakistan’s foreign exchange earnings through increased international connectivity.
