Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is preparing to relaunch direct flights to the United States after signing an MoU with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to resolve financial issues.
This step aims to help Pakistan regain ‘Category One’ status, which has been missing since the suspension of six weekly flights in 2017.

PIA is also targeting a return to the UK market by March 2024, following favorable evaluations from the European Union.
These initiatives are expected to significantly enhance PIA’s revenue and global connectivity.
