PITB Launches Sales Tax Payment Service At e-Khidmat Markaz

The Punjab Information Technology Board has expanded citizen services across Punjab. In the latest update, PITB launches a new Sales Tax payment facility at e-Khidmat Markaz centres. The initiative aims to make tax payments easier for businesses and service providers.

Officials said PITB launches this service to improve convenience and reduce time spent on manual processes. The new system allows users to submit sales tax payments in a secure and organized environment. All services are available at designated e-Khidmat centres.

According to the details, 15 e-Khidmat Markaz centres are currently offering this facility. These centres operate under PITB and provide multiple digital services under one roof. The sales tax service is part of ongoing efforts to improve public service delivery.

The statement further explained that PITB launches this initiative to support businesses with a fast and transparent payment system. Citizens can now complete their tax-related tasks with assistance available at every step.

The service operates from Monday to Friday. Working hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm. Staff members are available at centres to guide users through the process and ensure smooth transactions.

PITB also shared that the goal is to reduce delays and improve efficiency in tax collection. The system is designed to offer secure, reliable, and user-friendly services for all registered businesses.

A helpline has also been provided for support. Users can contact 1317 for assistance regarding service details or technical guidance.

Earlier, PITB introduced another digital facility through e-Khidmat Markaz. That service allowed candidates to pay PPSC examination fees in a simplified manner. It was designed to improve transparency and reduce manual effort for students.

With these developments, PITB launches continue to focus on expanding digital governance services in Punjab. The board aims to bring more government services under one platform for public ease.

Officials say more services are expected to be added in the coming months as part of the digital transformation plan.
