The Prime Minister highlighted that Pakistan had almost defeated terrorism by 2018 after major military operations. He noted that people were living with a sense of safety, and businesses had started growing again. According to him, the return of violent attacks is “unacceptable and alarming.”
Security officials informed the leadership about recent incidents targeting civilians and law-enforcement agencies. They said that militant groups are attempting to regroup using foreign support. The PM asked for a detailed investigation into how these groups regained strength inside the country.
