PM Shehbaz Sharif Visits Saudi Arabia Today to Boost Trade and Regional Collaboration

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is departing for Saudi Arabia today on a two-day official visit, accompanied by a high-level delegation. During his visit, he is scheduled to meet Crown Prince and Saudi Prime Minister Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

According to a Foreign Office statement, the Prime Minister will engage in high-level discussions with the Crown Prince aimed at expanding cooperation in vital areas such as trade, investment, regional security, and issues concerning the global Muslim community.

The Foreign Office also mentioned that PM Shehbaz Sharif will convey gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its constructive role in easing recent tensions between nuclear-armed Pakistan and India.

This visit coincides with the annual Hajj pilgrimage and the upcoming Eid ul Adha celebrations in Saudi Arabia, which begin tomorrow.

Emphasizing the longstanding and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the visit reflects the shared commitment to strengthening economic ties and diplomatic relations. It also supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s developmental objectives.

The statement concluded that Prime Minister Sharif’s visit is expected to deepen bilateral relations and open new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.
