LAHORE – A Police Constable has been arrested in Lahore following allegations of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old mentally challenged woman in the Ghaziabad area. Police have confirmed that the suspect is in custody, while further investigation into the case is underway.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the incident allegedly took place on August 2, 2026, at around 1:00 PM in Mohalla Hussain Pura, Ghaziabad. The case has been registered under sections related to rape and the Police Order 2002, including Section 155C.
The complaint was filed by the victim’s father. He stated that his daughter left home at approximately 1:00 PM but did not return. Concerned family members began searching for her in the surrounding area.
During the search, a local resident reportedly informed the family that a man in civilian clothes, later identified as a Police Constable, had taken the woman away on a motorcycle. The information raised serious concerns among the family.
The victim’s relatives later went to Ghaziabad Police Station at around 9:00 PM to seek assistance. While they were at the station, they received a phone call informing them that the woman had returned home.
After reaching their house, family members reportedly found the victim in pain. According to the FIR, she later told her family that a policeman named Imran had taken her on his motorcycle and sexually assaulted her.
Following the complaint, authorities moved quickly and arrested the accused Police Constable. Police officials have not yet released further details about the investigation or any evidence collected so far.
The case is currently under investigation, and officials say all legal procedures will be followed. Investigators are expected to record witness statements and gather additional evidence as part of the inquiry.
