PPSC Announces New Government Jobs Across Key Departments in Punjab

LAHORE: The Punjab Public Service Commission has announced 498 government vacancies across Punjab. The positions were announced under Advertisement No. 08/2026.

The recruitment drive covers several provincial departments and public organisations. It also includes education boards, the Punjab Food Authority, and the Agriculture Department.

The advertisement was published on August 18, 2026. Interested candidates can submit their applications until September 3, 2026.

A major share of the vacancies comes from the Agriculture Department. It has announced 92 Water Management Officer posts at BS-17.

Candidates need a B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering or B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture degree. The qualification must follow a four-year post-intermediate programme.

The vacancies include quotas for open merit, women, minorities and special persons. Applicants should review the eligibility conditions before applying.

The Punjab Provincial Transport Authority has also announced 82 Transport Sub Inspector positions. These posts carry BS-14 grades.

Candidates applying for these positions need a second-division BA degree. The degree must be from a recognised university.

Another 34 Motor Mobile Patrol Inspector posts are available at BS-16. These positions are open across Punjab.

Law graduates can apply for the Motor Mobile Patrol Inspector vacancies. Candidates must meet all requirements listed in the advertisement.

The Livestock and Dairy Development Department has announced 27 Veterinary Officer posts. These positions are available at BS-17.

Applicants need a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree for these vacancies. They must also hold valid registration with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council.

Several vacancies have also been announced for Punjab education boards. These include positions at the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

BISE Lahore has announced 24 Assistant posts at BS-16. Other vacancies include computer, security, estate and examination-related positions.

BISE Dera Ghazi Khan has five Assistant positions at BS-16. BISE Faisalabad has also announced several technical and administrative vacancies.

The Chief Ministerโ€™s Inspection Team has announced multiple contract positions. These include 22 Assistant Director Inspection posts.

The monthly package for these positions is Rs. 115,000. Applicants need a Masterโ€™s degree or BS Honours with 16 years of education.

CMIT has also announced 24 Office Assistant positions. These jobs offer a monthly package of Rs. 77,000.

Other CMIT vacancies include technical, medical and financial inspection roles. Law Officer positions have also been announced with a package of Rs. 115,000.

The Transport Department has announced additional positions as well. These include Senior Transport Officer and Deputy Director posts.

Candidates can apply for the relevant positions based on their qualifications. They should also meet the required experience criteria.

Applicants must submit their forms through the official PPSC website. They need to select the relevant position and complete the online application.

Candidates must also pay the prescribed application fee. The application should be submitted before the September 3 deadline.
