All Mobile Calls To Toll-Free Numbers Now Free Across Pakistan

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announced that all mobile users can now make free calls to Toll-Free Numbers (0800XXXXX). Previously, only fixed-line users enjoyed this benefit.

Before the change, calls from mobile phones to Toll-Free Numbers incurred standard charges. PTA removed these fees to protect consumer interests and ensure fair access to telecom services.

The decision follows extensive consultations with major stakeholders, including PTCL, NTC, local loop operators, and cellular mobile operators. Officials said that after detailed discussions, it was agreed that all LL Toll-Free Numbers will now be free for both mobile and fixed-line users.

PTA emphasized that this move reflects the authorityโ€™s commitment to a consumer-focused and inclusive telecommunications environment in Pakistan. Citizens can now access essential services without worrying about extra charges.

Experts say the decision will empower millions of mobile users across the country. It is expected to make communication easier, cheaper, and more accessible than ever before.

The authority also encouraged users to report any issues related to Toll-Free Numbers through official PTA channels. PTA assured the public that it will monitor the system to ensure seamless access for all.

This historic step is part of PTAโ€™s broader initiative to improve telecom services and protect consumer rights. Officials stated that such reforms will promote equal access to communication, bridging the gap between mobile and fixed-line users.

Consumers welcomed the announcement, describing it as a major step toward affordable and efficient communication. The move is expected to positively impact customer satisfaction and service usage nationwide.

With free access to Toll-Free Numbers, Pakistanโ€™s telecom landscape moves toward a more equitable and user-friendly system, benefiting millions of citizens.
