Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Ikhtiar Wali Khan criticized the daily protests by PTI supporters outside Adiala Jail. He claimed these demonstrations have caused difficulties for local residents and created unrest in the city. According to him, the PTI leadership itself is seeking the transfer of PTI founder from Adiala jail to another province.
Ikhtiar Wali accused PTI of pursuing a political agenda aimed at creating instability in the country. โUnder the name of protest, they are trying to spread chaos and disorder,โ he said. He alleged that activists want the PTI founder from Adiala jail moved for political reasons, undermining law and order.
He further stated that PTI is โattacking the countryโs dignity and progress dailyโ and misleading the youth with false narratives. He also targeted the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government, claiming collusion between provincial authorities and terrorists. He added that vehicles of two provincial ministers have been impounded over drug-related cases, and drug trade continues openly in the chief ministerโs own district.
Ikhtiar Wali stressed that all doors of negotiation with the PTI founder from Adiala jail are closed. โEven a local councillor in Rawalpindi is not willing to talk to them,โ he remarked. He emphasized the need to draw a clear line โbetween those who stand with Pakistan and those who act against it.โ
He also accused PTI of attacking the federation while attempting to portray themselves as political martyrs. Earlier, DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry condemned what he called โpoisonous propagandaโ against the Pakistan Army, attributing it to a โmentally unstable individualโ and his associates.
The DG ISPR questioned the intentions of those who criticize the army leadership and suggested that such actions may aim to create space for other powers or forces. He added that this individual views Pakistanโs politics as revolving solely around him, claiming corruption or dictatorship if he is not in power.
The situation surrounding the PTI founder from Adiala jail continues to spark debates over law, order, and political motives in the country.
