Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) witnessed a major development as party leader Saeed officially resigns from his position. He submitted his formal resignation to PTI Chairman, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, on Saturday, 14 February 2026.

Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi indicated that Imran Khan could be shifted to the new Islamabad Model Jail once it becomes operational. Naqvi made these remarks during a visit to the under-construction facility and the trainee officers’ hostel at the National Police Academy. He reviewed progress on key security and training infrastructure projects.
