Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi was transferred from Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) after he experienced chest pain. Prison authorities said he first reported discomfort while in custody and was initially examined at the jail hospital.
Due to the seriousness of his symptoms, doctors recommended that Qureshi be moved to PIC for more detailed tests. Medical staff at the institute conducted blood work and other examinations to assess his condition.

Initial reports from the hospital confirm that Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s health is stable, but doctors are continuing with further evaluations to ensure there are no underlying issues. The transfer was carried out under strict security measures.
Officials have kept Qureshi’s family updated about his condition as they monitor his recovery closely. The situation remains under observation while medical teams provide ongoing care.
