Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi was transferred from Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) after he experienced chest pain. Prison authorities said he first reported discomfort while in custody and was initially examined at the jail hospital.
Due to the seriousness of his symptoms, doctors recommended that Qureshi be moved to PIC for more detailed tests. Medical staff at the institute conducted blood work and other examinations to assess his condition.
