The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority has issued the official schedule for the Grade 8 Annual Exam 2026. The four-day examination will begin in March, according to the announced date sheet.
As per the schedule, the Grade 8 Annual Exam will take place from March 9 to March 12, 2026. All papers will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Students are advised to reach their centers at least 30 minutes before the paper starts.
The exams will begin with Mathematics on Monday, March 9. The Urdu paper will be conducted on Tuesday, March 10. English will follow on Wednesday, March 11. The final paper, Science, will be held on Thursday, March 12.
The authority clarified that all remaining Grade 8 subjects will be conducted under the School Based Assessment (SBA) model through the IBS facility. The schedule for other subjects and the End of Year Term Assessment 2026 for other grades will be shared separately.
Strict guidelines have been issued for candidates appearing in the Annual Exam. Students are not allowed to bring calculators, mobile phones, smart watches, or any electronic devices into the examination center.
To enter the examination hall, students must present their B Form and roll number slip. They are required to bring a blue or black ballpoint pen and a clipboard. Those appearing for the Mathematics paper must also carry their own geometry box.
The authority emphasized that only the official answer booklet will be accepted for both objective and subjective sections. No extra sheets will be provided. Students are also not allowed to leave the examination hall before the paper ends.
Officials said these measures aim to ensure transparency and fairness in the Annual Exam process. The authority urged students to carefully follow all instructions to avoid any inconvenience on exam day.
The release of the date sheet allows students to finalize their preparation plans. Schools have also been directed to ensure smooth arrangements for the upcoming examinations.
