Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has kicked off a province-wide campaign to distribute Eid gifts to special needs children in government institutions ahead of the Eid holidays. The initiative, aimed at bringing joy to 40,000 special students, was officially launched on Saturday, according to a statement from the chief minister’s office.
Acting on the directive, Special Assistant Sania Aashiq visited three special education institutions in Lahore, distributing gifts on behalf of the chief minister. The campaign was formally inaugurated at the Government Degree College of Special Education in Johar Town, followed by gift distributions at the Government Shadab Institute and the Government Degree College for Special Education in Nishtar Town.

During her visit, Sania Aashiq delivered a heartfelt message from Maryam Nawaz to the students, highlighting the importance of showing care and compassion. Gifts and Eid cards were personally delivered to each classroom, with students expressing their gratitude in heartwarming ways. A sapling was also planted by Aashiq in the college’s lawn to mark the occasion.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed her delight in bringing happiness to these children, noting that it was a great honor to do so. She also shared plans for upcoming projects aimed at improving educational and welfare services for special needs children across Punjab.
