Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz flew to Geneva, Switzerland, from Lahore on a special Pakistan Air Force plane, accompanied by Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and her personal staff.
Initially planned to travel to London, her destination was changed to Geneva, where she will undergo a medical check-up for her throat.

Maryam is receiving treatment for complications related to a previous thyroid surgery and is expected to return to London with her father, Nawaz Sharif, after her treatment. Her departure was tightly secured, with police escorting her from her residence to the airport.
Nawaz Sharif, already in Geneva from London, will spend a few days with Maryam before returning to London.
Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed that Maryam’s health had deteriorated over the past few days, necessitating this trip for urgent medical attention. Maryam Nawaz is expected to return to Pakistan by November 12.
