The Punjab government has officially announced the winter break for schools and colleges in the province. Punjab Govt Issues Official Notification for Winter Vacations in Schools, Colleges, confirming the dates for the annual holidays for students and staff.
According to the notification, all public and private schools and colleges will remain closed from December 22, 2025, to January 10, 2026. Classes will resume after the holidays, and students are expected to return to campuses on January 11.

Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat highlighted the importance of winter vacations in light of cold weather and dense fog in the province. He said the early holiday schedule is designed to protect students and reduce risks during travel.
School administrators have been instructed to follow the official schedule and inform parents and students in advance. Many schools have already started planning for reopening after the holidays.
