Punjab Launches Phase-II of Honhar Scholarship to Support 30,000 Students

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has officially launched Phase-II of the Honhar Scholarship Programme, aiming to provide full educational support to 30,000 students annually over the next four years. Speaking at a ceremony at FAST National University of Computer and Engineering Sciences, Islamabad, she emphasized that the Punjab government would cover 100% of educational expenses for eligible students, allowing them to pursue higher education without financial constraints.

The scholarship will be available to students from 65 universities, 12 medical and dental colleges, and 359 colleges across Punjab, covering 68 different subjects. This initiative seeks to help students from underprivileged backgrounds achieve their academic goals, with eligibility criteria including Punjab domicile, a maximum age of 22, and a parental income below Rs300,000 per month.
