MULTAN: A famous lake at Shah Shams Park in Multan is set to reopen after 15 years. Authorities have directed officials to make the facility operational during the first week of September.
The lake has remained closed since 2011. Restoration work is now being carried out on a fast-track basis.

Commissioner Inspects Restoration Work
Multan Commissioner Aamir Karim Khan inspected the restoration work at the park. He directed the Multan Horticulture Agency to complete all remaining work within the given timeframe.
Officials briefed the commissioner about the progress of the lake restoration. They also provided updates about other development projects underway at the park.
The commissioner stressed the importance of completing the project on schedule. He said reopening the lake would help bring back the appeal of the recreational site.

Managing Director Horticulture Authority Multan Syed Waseem Hassan briefed the commissioner on the ongoing projects.
He said the lake restoration would be completed within the prescribed timeframe. He also said the upgraded Punjab Park facility would offer better recreational opportunities.
