Heavy rain and hailstorms across several regions of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa have led to flash floods, causing damage to homes, vehicles, and agricultural lands. The downpours particularly impacted areas such as Charsadda, Chitral, Khyber, and Swabi.
At least eight people were injured in Charsadda after being struck by lightning on Friday. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a flood alert for the Kabul River and its tributaries, urging residents to remain vigilant. In response to the situation, PDMA has canceled weekend leaves of relevant officials.

Lower Chitral witnessed severe flooding that damaged houses in Koor and Brauz. Rising water levels stranded travelers as parts of the Chitral-Peshawar road were closed. Rescue teams and local volunteers are helping relocate passengers and patients, while the National Highway Authority (NHA) works to restore access.
The intense weather also wreaked havoc on crops. In Swabi, tobacco fields were battered by hail, while in Khyber, the storms shattered car windows and damaged agricultural land. Further rain and hail are forecast in the coming 24 hours, especially in mountainous and central districts.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and have urged people to take precautionary measures in vulnerable areas.
