Severe Heatwave Expected During Eid ul Azha as Temperatures May Reach 50°C

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a warning about rising temperatures in Sindh. A strong Heatwave is expected to hit the province in the coming week. Weather experts have advised citizens to stay alert and take safety measures.

According to the Met Office, temperatures in Sindh may rise significantly between May 25 and May 31. The increase is expected to be up to 6°C above normal levels. This sharp rise shows a developing Heatwave situation across the region.

Several districts in interior Sindh are expected to face extreme weather conditions. In some areas, the temperature may reach as high as 50°C. Meteorologists say most parts of inland Sindh will remain under severe heat stress during this period. The ongoing Heatwave could last for several days.

Authorities have advised people, especially farmers, outdoor workers, and elderly citizens, to avoid direct sunlight. They have also been urged to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during peak hours. The intense Heatwave may create difficult conditions for daily life and agriculture.

The warning comes as hot weather continues in other parts of the country as well. In Lahore, temperatures remain high despite changing weather patterns. Dusty winds and light rain are expected in some areas of Punjab. However, heat conditions are still strong in the provincial capital.

Weather experts have said that strong winds may blow in Lahore during the afternoon and evening. Light rainfall may also occur in a few locations. The minimum temperature in Lahore is expected to stay around 27°C, while the maximum may reach 40°C.

Officials have stressed the importance of precaution during this ongoing Heatwave. They recommend avoiding unnecessary travel and staying indoors when possible. Hospitals and local administrations have also been advised to stay prepared for heat-related cases.
