Sindh Governor Nehal Hashmi Launches Free AI Summer Camp for Students

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Nehal Hashmi has inaugurated a free AI Summer Camp at the Governor House, aiming to help students develop digital skills and prepare for future careers in technology.

Speaking at a press conference after the inauguration, the Sindh Governor said artificial intelligence is shaping the modern world. He stressed that Pakistan’s future depends on quality education, information technology, and AI-driven innovation.

According to the governor, the summer camp has been introduced to make students’ vacation more productive. The initiative will allow children to learn new skills, improve creativity, and gain practical knowledge in artificial intelligence.

The Sindh Governor said today’s students must be equipped with modern technology to compete in the rapidly changing global environment. He added that learning AI at an early age can help young people prepare for future educational and professional opportunities.

Nehal Hashmi also highlighted the government’s focus on promoting artificial intelligence across the country. He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has placed special importance on AI development and digital education. According to him, practical measures are already being taken to expand opportunities in the sector.

The governor said talented students should not be limited by financial challenges or a lack of resources. He emphasized that every deserving child should have equal access to modern education and advanced technology.

He expressed confidence that the younger generation would play a leading role in Pakistan’s future technological progress. He said today’s children could become the country’s future experts in information technology and artificial intelligence if they receive proper training and guidance.

Sharing his vision, Nehal Hashmi said he hopes to see every child in Sindh equipped with modern education. He added that educated and skilled youth can contribute to building a stronger, more developed, and prosperous Pakistan.

The governor also announced that admissions to the AI Summer Camp will be offered strictly on merit. Students who know how to operate a mobile phone will be eligible to apply for the program. This criterion aims to ensure that participants have the basic digital skills needed to benefit from the training.
