A tragic incident occurred in Mehran Town, Karachi, where a man allegedly set his wife on fire after she objected to his friendships with other women.
The horrifying act took place within the jurisdiction of the Korangi Industrial Area police station. The suspect, identified as Waqas, reportedly doused his wife with petrol and ignited her over a domestic dispute.

The victim, Rabia, sustained severe burns covering 49% of her body and was rushed to Civil Hospital for treatment. Following the attack, Waqas fled the scene but was later apprehended in Azeempura after a case was filed against him based on his wife’s complaint.
Authorities revealed that Waqas had married Rabia two years ago out of personal choice and was employed at a factory. Police further stated that he had a history of abusing his wife and maintained relationships with other women. When Rabia confronted him about this, he reacted violently, leading to the horrific crime.
