Tragic Incident: 8-Year-Old Boy Killed by Stray Bullet While Playing in Karachi

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday when an eight-year-old boy, Abdullah, was fatally struck by a stray bullet while playing in the courtyard of his home in Abdullah Shah Ghazi Goth, within the Sachal police station’s jurisdiction.

Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival. Police later confirmed that a CT scan revealed he had been hit by a bullet. His body was transferred to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal procedures, and an investigation is underway.

In separate incidents, four individuals were injured in various shooting incidents across Karachi. A 17-year-old boy, Sawan, was shot in Quaidabad by unidentified attackers and hospitalized at JPMC. Police believe the shooting stemmed from personal enmity.

In Saeedabad’s Mawach Goth, a 22-year-old man, Muhammad Shahmir, was wounded in a gunfight during a dispute and was taken to Civil Hospital.

A 35-year-old man, Pir Bakhsh, was injured by a stray bullet in the Baghdadi area and also treated at Civil Hospital. In Landhi, 53-year-old Abdul Wahab was struck by a stray bullet and transferred to JPMC for medical care.
