The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) thwarted an attempt by a Ugandan woman to smuggle drugs at Karachi Airport, leading to her arrest.
As reported by the ANF spokesperson, the woman, who had flown from Entebbe, Uganda, via Dubai, was apprehended at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

During questioning, she confessed to carrying drug-filled capsules inside her body. She was transferred to a hospital, where 11 capsules containing cocaine, weighing a total of 144 grams, were recovered.
Further investigation revealed that the woman had a Nigerian accomplice in Lahore, who was supposed to receive the drugs. The Nigerian had instructed her to fly from Karachi to Lahore to deliver the narcotics.
To maintain the link between the woman and her Nigerian contact, ANF swiftly deployed an intelligence team to Lahore. Based on solid intelligence, the Nigerian accomplice was arrested at a hotel in Lahore’s Firdous Market.
The ANF spokesperson emphasized that the force remains committed to combating international drug smuggling networks that exploit foreign nationals. A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend additional members of the drug syndicate.
In a separate incident at Peshawar Airport, the ANF intercepted a Pakistani-origin British citizen attempting to smuggle over 10 kilograms of drugs. During a routine check, 10.6 kilograms of hashish were found concealed in the suspect’s trolley bag. The individual was traveling from Peshawar to London via Doha.
Similarly, a French national was arrested at Islamabad Airport after arriving from India with a large quantity of drugs. The suspect, who was en route to Sri Lanka via Muscat, was found to be carrying 1.58 kilograms of hashish in their luggage.
