On November 9, 2024, security forces killed six terrorists and injured six others during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan’s Spin Wam area, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation targeted terrorists responsible for attacks on security forces and civilian killings.

The forces destroyed key terrorist hideouts, recovering weapons and ammunition. A follow-up clearance operation is ongoing to remove any remaining threats. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their swift action, assuring the public of the government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism.
In a related operation, four terrorists were neutralized a few days prior in South Waziristan’s Sra Rogha area, where security forces targeted the Fitna al-Khawarij group based on intelligence.
