During the discussion, Governor Kundi welcomed the airline’s decision and assured full support for its new routes. He said South Air is welcome in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and expressed confidence in its success.
The governor emphasized that improved air connectivity is essential for tourism and business growth. He noted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has strong tourism potential, and better flight access will help unlock it.
He also highlighted that several key areas still lack proper air services. He said that connecting cities like Peshawar with Karachi, Lahore, and Quetta would further strengthen economic development.

Earlier, South Air had launched a trial flight from Karachi to Gwadar. The flight successfully landed at New Gwadar International Airport, marking a key milestone for the airline.
