Sui Southern Gas Company has announced a 24-hour suspension of gas supply to industrial consumers, including captive power plants, starting Sunday.
According to the companyโs statement, the shutdown will begin at 8:00 AM on April 12, 2026, and will continue until 8:00 AM on April 13, 2026.
The temporary suspension will affect industries relying heavily on gas for production and power generation, potentially disrupting operations during the period.
SSGC stated that the decision has been taken to manage gas load across various sectors and to maintain adequate line-pack within the system.
Officials explained that such measures are necessary to ensure stable gas pressure and uninterrupted supply to priority sectors, especially domestic consumers.
The move comes amid ongoing challenges in gas distribution and increasing demand across the countryโs energy sector.
Industries have been advised to plan their operations accordingly to minimize disruptions during the 24-hour suspension period.
