A student in Lahore’s Hadiara village reportedly took his own life after receiving low marks in the annual matric examinations. The police identified the deceased as 15-year-old Arsalan, who ended his life by jumping from a water tank, disheartened by his exam scores.

Authorities have begun investigations after gathering evidence. Previously, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore announced the matric examination results, with a success rate of 69 percent, as 174,500 students passed the exam.
