Suleman Dawood, who tragically lost his life along with his father Shahzada Dawood in the sinking of the Titanic submersible, had a goal of setting a Guinness World Record for solving the Rubik’s Cube underwater. Suleman’s mother, Christine Dawood, revealed this in an interview with BBC, where she shared that her late 19-year-old son had told her about solving the puzzle at a depth of 3,700 meters at the Titanic wreckage.

According to Christine Dawood, her son had the ability to solve Rubik’s Cube in under 20 seconds. She, as a grieving mother and wife, recalled being aboard the Prince Polar, the supporting vessel for the Titan submersible, when news broke about its disappearance.
Initially, Christine Dawood did not fully comprehend the officials’ statement about losing contact with the submersible. She said, “I didn’t comprehend at that moment what it meant – and then it just went downhill from there.”
She further expressed that her hope dwindled as time passed, particularly after the 96-hour mark.
Christine Dawood shared that she had initially planned to join the expedition but had to cancel due to the Covid-19 pandemic. She stepped back and allowed Suleman to pursue his dream, as he was eager to participate. She expressed her happiness for both her son and husband, as they had longed for this opportunity for a considerable time.
