The Supreme Court has rejected a second request for an urgent hearing of a contempt petition involving Imran Khan.

The petition concerns the hospital transfer of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister.

According to 24NewsHD, the court’s registrar’s office rejected the request for an early hearing. The office said the case was already scheduled for September 16.

The registrar’s office said an urgent hearing was therefore not required. The petition will proceed according to the court’s existing schedule.

The response also highlighted the number of pending contempt cases before the Supreme Court. Officials said 94 contempt petitions were currently awaiting hearings.
