Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that India has failed to provide credible proof regarding the Pahalgam attack. He made the statement on Wednesday during a televised address.
He said that even after one year, no solid evidence has been shared publicly. He added that the case continues to raise serious questions internationally. According to him, the absence of evidence weakens the official narrative presented by Indian authorities.
Tarar described the incident as a “false flag operation,” as per his remarks. He said the response from Indian authorities appeared inconsistent and unclear. He also pointed to the rapid registration of an FIR within minutes of the incident.
He questioned how an FIR could be filed so quickly. He said the distance between the site and the police station made it unusual. He suggested that the document may have been prepared earlier, though no evidence was provided to support this claim.
The minister also said that international media and some political voices in India have raised concerns. They reportedly questioned the security arrangements and lack of transparency in the investigation.
Tarar stated that Pakistan has repeatedly called for an independent inquiry. He said Islamabad even offered support for a neutral investigation led by international experts. However, he noted that no agreement was reached.
He further claimed that India has not presented verifiable evidence at global forums. He said this has made it difficult to build a convincing case internationally.
The minister also criticized sections of the Indian media. He said they continue to circulate unverified stories without solid evidence. According to him, this has contributed to misinformation around the incident.
Tarar added that unresolved questions continue to surround the case. He said the lack of transparency raises concerns about the investigation process. He emphasized that proper evidence is essential for any credible conclusion.
He concluded by reiterating Pakistan’s position on impartial investigations. He said only a fair and evidence-based process can establish the truth behind the incident.
