Amid heavy monsoon rains, the Tarbela Dam administration has opened all spillways to manage the rapidly rising water levels. The move comes in response to a significant surge in water inflow, with authorities aiming to safely release excess water and prevent structural pressure on the dam.
According to officials, the spillway gates have been opened up to 14 feet, allowing controlled discharge. A public safety advisory has been issued, urging residents and tourists to stay away from water bodies and spillway zones around the Indus River.

Local administrations and dam authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have advised people in flood-prone regions to stay vigilant and follow safety protocols to avoid harm.
