A day of fun at Manora Himalaya Beach turned into tragedy when five students of Dow Medical University were swept away by strong waves. The incident claimed the lives of Sharib, Ashhad Abbas, and Ahmed, while two other students remain in critical condition.
According to local authorities, the students were visiting the beach when sudden high tides caught them off guard. Rescue teams were immediately dispatched, but despite their efforts, three students could not be saved. The two survivors were rushed to nearby hospitals and are receiving intensive care.
The tragedy has sent shockwaves through the university community, with students and faculty expressing grief over the loss of young lives. Police and local authorities have warned beachgoers to exercise caution, especially during rough sea conditions.
Officials urged the public to adhere to safety guidelines at beaches to prevent similar incidents in the future.
