Three policemen die after a tragic accident on the motorway when a passenger bus collided with their patrolling mobile. The incident occurred when the bus struck the police vehicle from the rear.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Mushtaq, Assistant Sub-Inspector Nasir Abbas, and Constable Usama lost their lives in the crash. Rescue teams, including the Sector Commander and DSP, rushed to the scene for relief and recovery operations.
The Motorway Police confirmed that an investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident. Authorities urged motorists to drive carefully and follow traffic rules to avoid similar tragedies.
This incident comes shortly after another road accident in Punjabโs Shujabad area. Four people, including three brothers, died when a passenger bus collided with the motorcycles they were riding. Rescue 1122 reported that the crash killed all four instantly. Among the deceased was 20-year-old Yasir, who had been preparing for his wedding the next day. He was returning home with cousins and friends after shopping for his Mehndi ceremony.
Road safety officials highlighted the rising number of traffic-related deaths in the province. They emphasized the need for drivers to maintain speed limits and avoid reckless driving, especially near busy highways and patrol routes.
