ISLAMABAD – Toyota Corolla may soon enter another phase in Pakistan. Indus Motor Company (IMC) reportedly appears ready to replace the current model with a refreshed version. The current pre-facelift Corolla has reportedly disappeared from Toyota Indus’s official online lineup. Recent dealership activity has also increased speculation about an updated model. However, the company has not officially confirmed the launch date.

Toyota Indus has also not announced the final specifications of the refreshed Corolla. The exact production end date for the current model remains unclear. The company has yet to confirm official pricing for the updated version. Reports suggest the upcoming Corolla will receive several exterior changes. These updates are expected to focus mainly on the front and rear sections of the sedan.

The expected changes include redesigned headlights and a slimmer upper grille. The front bumper could also receive a revised design. New or updated alloy wheels may be introduced with the refreshed model. The rear section could receive updated tail lamps and a redesigned bumper. Parking sensors are also reportedly among the possible equipment additions. Other minor feature changes may also be included.

The expected update appears to be a facelift rather than a completely new generation. This means the basic design and platform are likely to remain familiar. IMC introduced the 11th-generation Corolla in Pakistan around 2014. International markets later moved to the 12th-generation model. However, Pakistan continued using the older generation.

Instead of introducing a new generation, Toyota Indus continued updating the existing Corolla. A major local update arrived around 2016 and 2017. It brought styling changes and additional equipment to selected variants. Another important update followed around 2020. This period included the Altis X-era changes. The older 1.3-liter XLi and GLi variants had also disappeared from the lineup.

The latest facelift would mark another update for the long-running sedan. The Toyota Corolla has now served the Pakistani market for more than a decade. The outgoing model was positioned toward the premium end of Pakistan’s mass-market sedan segment. Mid-2026 references placed the 1.6-liter manual near Rs6.1 million to Rs6.2 million.

The 1.8-liter Grande variants were priced around Rs7.7 million during the same period. These figures relate to the outgoing model and should not be treated as new prices.

Toyota Indus has not announced the official price of the facelift. Market expectations suggest the refreshed model could be more expensive. Buyers may therefore face a higher starting price when the updated Corolla officially arrives.
