RAW Spy Duo Caught In Karachi

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested two suspects accused of working as RAW agents in Karachi, according to a report by ARY News. Officials said the suspects were allegedly involved in espionage activities for India’s intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

According to NCCIA, the two men had been collecting sensitive information about key installations in Karachi. The suspects reportedly shared videos and photographs of strategic sites through social media in exchange for payments between Rs20,000 and Rs40,000. Authorities believe the data was sent to their handlers across the border.

During the operation, conducted on October 9 near Mochko Road, officials recovered mobile phones and other digital devices from the suspects. Investigators also found evidence of financial transactions and communication with their alleged RAW handlers. Forensic examination of the seized equipment confirmed links to foreign operatives.

A case has been registered against the suspects, and security agencies are now working to identify and arrest more members connected to the network. Officials said the arrests were part of a broader effort to curb espionage activities targeting Pakistan’s national security infrastructure.

This development follows another recent case involving RAW agents. Earlier, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi sentenced a convicted RAW operative, identified as Saleem, to 114 years in prison. He was found guilty of possessing explosives and conducting spying missions for the Indian agency.

The prosecution revealed that Saleem had entered Pakistan illegally in 1989 and obtained local identity documents through forgery. During questioning, he admitted to traveling to India multiple times for training and coordination with RAW officials.

Authorities say these incidents highlight ongoing threats posed by RAW agents operating within Pakistan. Investigations are continuing to dismantle networks involved in such cross-border intelligence operations.
