US Charge d’Affaires to Pakistan Natalie Baker met Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad. The meeting focused on regional stability and ongoing diplomatic efforts.
Both sides discussed the latest regional situation in detail. They also reviewed progress related to possible second-round talks in Islamabad. Officials stressed the importance of continued dialogue.
Mohsin Naqvi appreciated recent steps taken by US President Donald Trump to extend the ceasefire. He said this decision helped reduce tensions in the region.
He added that Pakistan is committed to peace and stability. He also said that leadership is making every effort to support diplomatic solutions.
According to the minister, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir are actively engaged. They are making every effort at all levels to resolve ongoing issues peacefully.
He further stated that Pakistan hopes all parties will continue supporting dialogue. He emphasized that every effort should be made to avoid escalation and promote diplomacy.
Natalie Baker appreciated Pakistan’s role in encouraging peaceful solutions. She said Pakistan’s approach has been constructive and helpful in reducing tensions.
