Wahdat Poultry Acquires Rs. 28.13 Million Land for New Production Plant

Wahdat Poultry Farm Limited has purchased 1.02 acres of land for Rs. 28.13 million. The land will be used for a proposed pasteurisation plant.

The site is located in Bhalwal Industrial Estate in Sargodha. The company disclosed the acquisition to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

The purchase represents another step in the company’s planned expansion. It also supports efforts to increase processing capacity and develop value-added egg products.

IPO Proceeds Used for Land Purchase

Wahdat Poultry financed the land acquisition using proceeds from its initial public offering. The spending follows the utilisation plan included in the company’s IPO prospectus.

The proposed pasteurisation facility is expected to support the company’s processing operations. It will also help expand its presence in value-added egg products.

The company expects the project to improve operational efficiency. It could also strengthen the company’s position within Pakistan’s poultry sector.

Wahdat Poultry has pledged to complete its planned expansion projects within the expected timeframe.

The company will also keep the PSX and shareholders informed about important developments. These updates will cover construction work and the installation of machinery.

Company Plans Further Expansion

Earlier in July, the company approved its annual budget and business plan. The plan covers the financial year ending June 30, 2027.

Several expansion projects were also approved as part of the plan. These projects are designed to strengthen the company’s value-added product portfolio.

The company also aims to improve efficiency across its operations through these investments.

Wahdat Poultry Produces Up to 400,000 Eggs Daily

Wahdat Poultry began its operations in 2006. It later became a public limited company.

The company now operates a vertically integrated poultry business. Its activities include egg production, grading, packaging and distribution.

The company currently runs four automated layer farms. Together, these facilities have capacity for around 430,000 birds.

Its farms can produce up to 400,000 eggs per day.

The proposed pasteurisation plant will add another component to the company’s existing operations.
