The Sindh Education Department has officially announced Winter vacations 2025 for all public and private educational institutions under the College Education Department. Schools and colleges will remain closed from December 22, 2025, to December 31, 2025, as per a notification issued by the department.
Secretary to the Government of Sindh, Nadeem-ur-Rehman Memon, clarified that supplementary examinations for HSC Part-I & II (2025) and any other exams scheduled during the winter break will continue according to the existing timetable. This ensures that academic activities remain unaffected despite the holiday period.
Earlier, the Punjab government also declared Winter vacations 2025 for schools across the province. Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat confirmed that both public and private schools will be closed from December 22, 2025, to January 10, 2026. The decision aims to protect students from severe cold and seasonal illnesses while allowing them to prepare for the upcoming academic session.
In addition, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) announced a separate winter break. According to a notification issued by IHC Registrar Muhammad Yar Walana and approved by Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, the court will observe winter vacations 2025 from December 24, 2025, to January 8, 2026.
Authorities emphasized that the winter break is designed to ensure the health and well-being of students, staff, and judicial employees while maintaining academic and legal schedules. Parents and students are advised to plan accordingly and use the break for rest, revision, and family time.
The announcement of Winter vacations 2025 marks the start of a nationwide holiday season, aligning academic schedules with public health considerations during the colder months.
