Pink Day: PSL Raises Breast Cancer Awareness

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 is currently observing #PinkRibbon during the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, aiming to raise awareness about breast cancer.

In Pakistan, the statistics indicate that one in every nine women may eventually develop breast cancer, highlighting the importance of raising awareness about this critical health issue. In response, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has collaborated with an organization to increase public awareness about breast cancer.

As part of this initiative, cricketers from both teams are sporting pink caps and wearing pink ribbons on their shirts, symbolizing their support for the cause. Additionally, the six wickets on the field are designed with a pink-inspired theme, with the name of the sponsor prominently displayed.

Before the match commenced, presenters and analysts took the opportunity to provide insights into the importance of raising awareness about breast cancer, contributing to the overall objective of improving awareness and understanding of this disease within the community.
