Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar departed for a three-day bilateral visit to the United Arab Emirates, as announced by the Foreign Office. The visit, scheduled from today until November 28, includes a meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.
The interaction aims to enhance bilateral relations across various domains, encompassing political, economic, trade, investment, cultural, defense, and people-to-people connections.

The upcoming visit involves the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between Pakistan and the UAE, covering diverse areas such as investment cooperation in energy, port operations projects, wastewater treatment, food security, logistics, mining, aviation, and banking and financial services.
Highlighting the enduring fraternal ties between Pakistan and the UAE, the statement emphasized their resilience over time. Additionally, Prime Minister Kakar will lead a delegation to partake in the 52nd National Day celebrations of the UAE and the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP 28) in Dubai.
The News reports that the festivities will witness the participation of 90 heads of states, including Pakistan, and 7,000 representatives from around the globe. Foreign heads of states and representatives have been invited to the UAE’s National Day celebrations on December 2, leading to the cancellation of the National Day reception by the UAE Embassy in Islamabad.
Furthermore, the UN Climate Change Conference of 2023 will occur in the UAE from November 30 to December 12, with international climate change conference programs continuing in the UAE until December 15. At the invitation of the UAE president, a high-level Pakistani delegation, headed by Prime Minister Kakar and including caretaker ministers of trade, climate change, health, and finance, will oversee Pakistan’s participation in the celebrations on December 1 and 2.
During this event, the Prime Minister is expected to hold meetings with various world leaders and representatives, including the Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai.
