Imran Says CM Gandapur Should Resign Over KP Peace

PESHAWAR – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has urged Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to take full responsibility for the province’s worsening law and order situation.

Speaking to journalists from Adiala Jail through a video link, Imran says “CM Gandapur should resign if he can’t restore peace in KP.” He stressed that public safety must come before politics.

Imran Khan expressed concern over the rising cases of violence and terrorism in the province. He claimed that the security situation in KP has sharply declined since the coalition government took charge. According to Imran, the people of KP feel abandoned and unsafe.

The former prime minister highlighted the lack of coordination between the provincial and federal governments. He said this gap has worsened the law and order crisis. “The provincial government must take immediate action. If not, changes in leadership are necessary,” Imran added.

Once again, Imran says “CM Gandapur should resign if he can’t restore peace in KP.” He reminded the public that PTI gave Gandapur a strong mandate. However, that support comes with responsibility.

Security experts have also raised alarms about the growing threat from militant groups in the region. Attacks on police and civilians have increased. Businesses in many KP districts have suffered due to fear and instability.

Imran Khan emphasized that restoring peace is essential for economic growth and public confidence. He warned that failure to act now will lead to further chaos. The PTI founder also urged the federal government to support KP’s efforts for stability.

This is not the first time Imran has criticized Gandapur’s performance. However, his latest remarks have sparked a new debate. Political analysts believe the pressure on the KP chief minister is now mounting.

In conclusion, as Imran says “CM Gandapur should resign if he can’t restore peace in KP,” the message is clear: leadership must deliver results—or step aside.
