NAB informed the court that Chairman NAB had issued a warrant for Moonis Elahi on August 11. Despite efforts to apprehend the former Chief Minister of Punjab’s son, he is intentionally evading arrest and has not cooperated with the investigation despite multiple summons. Therefore, NAB requested that he be declared a proclaimed offender.
Upon NAB’s request, the court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Moonis Elahi, valid until October 5. The court has postponed the process of declaring him a proclaimed offender until the next hearing.
It is worth noting that Moonis Elahi, currently residing abroad, faces allegations of corruption involving billions of rupees in various development projects.
